"...Are you being stalked by a number, ... Not just any number, but the number 11? If you are, then you are experiencing the strange 11:11 phenomenon. It is one that defies all logic. Everyday, millions of people are mysteriously propelled to look at the time at exactly 11 minutes past the hour. And the numbers show up wherever they go."

The quote above seems to sum it up in one. Quite frankly when an increasing number of us check the time and look at a digital clock and it shows the time as 11:11 (it also seems to happen in phases) with a way above expected/average number of 'sightings'  or manifestations in a single week... what can you think? A sceptic may say that 11:11 can only appear so frequently because 'the clock' had stopped at that time which you had forgotten to reset so you would see it at least twice a day... But then if it had, wouldnt that make you think why THAT time.. 11:11?

This appears to be a growing phenomenon that now affects a great many people... but there are differing beliefs as to what it means to us (or indeed if it means anything at all...) or why. Yet there it is, against all probability and logic: You look at the time and it happens to be 11:11...  again. Coincidence? Oh you think? read on and eat some exotic food for thought...

The '11:11' number  is seen by some as a symbol consisting of two sets of parallel lines, rather than a number, which are linked in some way and where recognition of which has been 'programmed' into our DNA or ''racial' or 'genetic memory'.  Many feel that these two sets of parallel lines are linked in a similar way to each other as are strands of our own DNA - but does this make it a map of our DNA however?. When You look at a picture of it, DNA does seem to be made up of those twin strands connected  by sets of 'two parallel lines' all the way along. Perhaps this is why the  number 11 now represents  the 'spiraling twin strands of human DNA - moving into higher frequency of consciousness' and perhaps spirituality...  BTW, the number 11 as well as symbolising balance, represents both male and female properties... So why this symbol? The significance of 11:11  could be more like a numeric symbol of the Universe -which is believed to have eleven dimensions- and there are those who feel that this symbol is actually a map of sorts of our own universe linking with another parallel (spiritual?) universe, with the exact same number of dimensions....

Now that you have let out that long overdue gasp,  it's thought that these two universes are linked by a gateway (like the links in the DNA stands for instance), and this message of recognition, it is thought,  has been been 'programmed' for some as yet unkown reason, into the double helix of our DNA...Further to this, it has also been suggested that  it is a message 'sent' in binary form... So is it no surprise then that DNA is symbolised by the number 11...?

HOWEVER....  There's a rather different, yet similar view on the 11:11 phenomenon...   Having already been seen as a coded message,  11:11  has also been referred to as a 'Digital Time'  or 'wake-up Code'. It appears that 11:11 continues to be recognised unconciously by being seen on digital clocks and watches, and other media that give rise to the same symbol and is thought to be a manifestation of a key to unlock something in the subconscious mind and our genetic encoded memories. A spiritual alarm clock if you like, that's been (yes you guessed it...) programmed into our DNA and, at a certain time, this code is triggered and something 'awakens' in the mind.. A spiritual awareness? New conciousness perhaps, or an enlightened one? Some would summise that this message a reminder that that we are actually spirits having a physical experience, and not the other way around... 

Whatever the effect, it heralds the change and evolution of the concious mind. It's worth noting that 11:11 is also significant in the Mayan calendar where the date 12-12- 2012 (Universal time) marks the 'end time'  with... you guessed it 11:11!  However, this is not to say that there is some kind of cosmic catastophe about the physical end of life on this planet but where ideas are steering more towards a 'renewal of conciousness' a 'new beginning', 'enlightenment' and the end of attuitudes as we know them.   Again we come to the (programmed) 'awakening' of conciousness' and spirituality, the 'new beginning', the 'enlightened time'  ...and the unlocking of the universal DNA codes...   Incidentally, the Winter Solstice for 2012 falls on December 21 at.... 11:11!

Finally (for now at least), there are those who claim,  nay believe, that 11:11 is associated with The Bible, and in this Biblical connection 11:11 is a warning for us to prepare for the second coming of Christ...  the return of the Messiah... and (especially perhaps if you happen to be a Christian) what better way to try to understand a new dawn of Man,  with a Golden Age emerging as foretold by the Ancients where the 'gold' refers perhaps more to alchemy and the alchemy of life, where alchemy reads change and evolution...

Whatever your belief or personal theory, the 11:11 experience cannot be  ignored and the general concensus  of opinion does seem to focus towards the belief that it is a (pre-programmed) symbol or warning of change, evolution, and enlightenment. Maybe its a message of hope from those who seeded this world (shades of 'Quatermass And The Pit' echo here - I hope not!)?  But in any event 11:11 seems to portend new beginnigs and a new age of Man... a Golden Age...

So is 11:11 a wake-up call? It's certainly something to think about... These are just a few of the theories 'out there' about this phenomenon... I dare say there will be more on this in time to come, but for now; Is it be feared or... welcomed...?   I suppose that depends on your perspective...
