"...Are you being stalked by a number, ... Not just any number, but the number 11? If you are, then you are experiencing the strange 11:11 phenomenon. It is one that defies all logic. Everyday, millions of people are mysteriously propelled to look at the time at exactly 11 minutes past the hour (of 11). And the numbers show up wherever they go."

The quote above seems to sum it up in one. Quite frankly when an increasing number of us check the time and look at a digital clock and it shows the time as 11:11 (it also seems to happen in phases) with a way above expected/average number of 'sightings'  or manifestations even in a single week... what can you think? A skeptic may say that 11:11 can only appear so frequently because 'the clock' had stopped at that time which you had forgotten to reset so you would see it at least twice a day... But then if it had, wouldn't that make you think why did it stop at THAT time.. 11:11?

So hands up! how many of you.. of US are there out there that see 11:11??? This appears to be a growing phenomenon that now affects a great many people... but there are differing beliefs as to what it means to us (or indeed if it means anything at all...) or why. Yet there it is, against all probability and logic: You look at the time and it happens to be 11:11...  again. Coincidence? Oh you think? read on and eat some exotic food for thought...

According to some, the '11:11' number  is seen as a symbol consisting of two sets of parallel lines, rather than as numerical digits, which are linked in some way and where recognition of which has been 'programmed' into our DNA, or our ''racial' or 'genetic memory' whilst also 'moving into higher frequency of consciousness' and perhaps spirituality....  Many feel that these two sets of parallel lines are linked in a similar way to each other as are strands of our own DNA - but does this actually make it a map of our DNA?.  When You look at a picture of  DNA it does seem to be made up of 'parallel lines' or strings connected  by sets of connectors (dots?) all the way along. Perhaps this is why the  number 11 now represents  the 'spiraling twin strands' of human DNA.  BTW, as if that wasn't enough info for this time of day, the number 11 as well as symbolising balance, represents both male and female properties... 11:11 - So why this symbol? Good question! Opinions suggest that the significance of 11:11 could be more connected with a numeric symbol of the Universe, which is believed to have eleven dimensions. Amongst these theorists are those who feel that this symbol is actually a map of sorts of our own universe linking with another parallel (spiritual?) universe with the exact same number of dimensions....

Now that you have let out that long overdue gasp,  it's thought that these two universes are linked by a gateway (like the links in the DNA stands for instance, or the dots on a digital display), and this is a message of recognition, it is thought,  that has been been 'programmed' for some as yet unknown reason, into the double helix of our DNA for us to 'recognise' at some point - but to what end?? The mind just simply boggles... Further to this, it has also been suggested that  it is a message 'sent' in binary form... So is it no surprise then that DNA is symbolised by the number 11...!

WAKE UP!!!
HOWEVER....  There's a rather different, yet similar view on the 11:11 phenomenon which has some bearing on the above... and one which seems to be more widespread amongst those who are experiencing this phenomenon.   Having already been seen as a coded message,  11:11  has also been referred to as a 'Digital Time'  or 'Wake-up Code'. It appears that 11:11 continues to be recognised unconsciously by being seen on digital clocks and watches, and other media that give rise to the same symbol and is thought to be a manifestation of a key to unlock something in the subconscious mind and our genetic encoded memories. A spiritual alarm clock, if you like, that's been (yes you guessed it...) programmed into our DNA and, at a certain time, this code is triggered and something 'awakens' in the mind... A spiritual awareness? New consciousness perhaps, or perhaps, and at long last, an enlightened one? I know that since I have been experiencing this phenomenon, my attitudes  and approaches have definitely been changing, and evolving and I think for the better. I am certainly becoming more aware of 'certain things' and changes that are afoot in perhaps even the world order. Some would surmise that this message is indeed a wake up call or a reminder that that we are actually more spiritual in our make up whilst having a physical experience, and not the other way around... and perhaps we should be mindful of this as 11:11 is some kind of a 'fail safe'  message that triggers a response, a 'wake up call' that returns us to our 'original objective' and to follow it's path?

Whatever the reasons or effects, 'Rumour Control' believes that it heralds evolution and changes in the conscious mind. It's worth noting that 11:11 is also significant in the Mayan calendar where the date 21-12- 2012 (Universal time) marks the 'end time'  with... you guessed it... on or at 11:11!  However, this is not to say that there is some kind of cataclysmic or cosmic catastrophe around the corner that's about the physical end of life on this planet, quite the contrary... Where ideas are steering more towards is a 'renewal of consciousness'; a 'new beginning', 'enlightenment' and the end of attitudes as we know them (corporate greed for one going out of the window????  we can but hope!).   Again we come to the (programmed) 'awakening' of consciousness' and spirituality, the 'new beginning', the 'enlightened time'  ...and the final unlocking of the universal DNA codes...  Is ET about to have his phone number revealed so we can at last 'phone home'??? Incidentally, the Winter Solstice for 2012 falls on December 21 at.... 11:11!

Finally (for now at least), there are those who claim,  nay believe, that 11:11 is associated with The Bible, and in this Biblical connection 11:11 is a warning for us to prepare for the second coming of Christ...  the return of the Messiah... and (especially perhaps if you happen to be a Christian) what better way to try to understand a new dawn of Man,  with a Golden Age emerging as foretold by the Ancients where the 'gold' refers perhaps more to alchemy and the alchemy of life rather than riches or that bright, pretty, yellow coloured metal, and where alchemy reads change and evolution...  and new beginnings...

So is 11:11 indeed a wake-up call? It's certainly something to think about... These are just a few of the theories 'out there' about this phenomenon... I dare say there will be more on this in time to come, but for now; Is it be feared or... welcomed...?   I suppose that depends on your perspective...
