Eternity's Tide

 1-   I have known you now my love
  A thousand, thousand years
And all across the span of time,
I've shed a thousand tears...
I have come to love you now
  Each time our paths have crossed,
    But always and inevitably
      I find you then you're lost...

2-  As we move on with flowing time
Through life's great mystery,
With every life a stepping stone
That makes our history;
So when our lives and deaths unite,
Our souls do meet again,
  And shed the tears that flow from love
         That bind beyond our pain...

3-You come again from distant stars,
Across the great divide
Of life and love and in-between
To hold me as I've cried,
Again the tears of sorrow filled
With grave uncertainty
As we travel down this road
That is Eternity...

 

 
The Story Behind The Veil
As far as I remember.. there is no 'story' as such that influenced or inspired the writing of this poem. It just seemed to flow from the pen... It does however seem to reflect or link up with various beliefs, such as in the bridges between worlds, spiritual doorways and travelers from beyond the stars perhaps, that have come here and made their mark in ages past.
